NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts Presents Tell Me Something I Don’t Know

A Live Game Show with Stephen J. Dubner, Author of Freakonomics

March 21-22 at NYU Skirball

NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts will present Tell Me Something I Don’t Know, a live game show and podcast hosted by Stephen J. Dubner, joined by celebrity panelists, on March 21 and 22 at 7:30 pm at NYU Skirball Center.

Stephen J. Dubner is co-author of the Freakonomics books and host of Freakonomics Radio. Tell Me Something I Don’t Know has the same kind of factual, inquisitive journalism that has been a hallmark of Dubner’s work, but it’s disguised in entertaining, unexpected, and occasionally ridiculous conversation.

Each night has a new theme and new celebrity panelists — a mix of leaders in science, politics, sports, and comedy — who listen as audience contestants try to wow them with a fascinating fact.  It may be a historical wrinkle, or a new line of research; it can be anything, really, as long as it’s interesting, useful and true (or at least true-ish). A real-time human fact-checker is on hand to filter out the bull. The panel will then poke and prod the contestants, and ultimately choose a winner.

Interested contestants (who must submit an obscure, historical, important or quirky fact to be considered, can apply at to participate in the show by filling out an application: Contestant Application/
